Addleton as the new Rector of FCCU The FCCU community bid farewell to Rector, Dr. James Tebbe following his retirement from the University. The Hamid Saeed Faculty Block was inaugurated and provides office space to faculty members. The Sitara-e-Imtiaz was awarded to Rector, Dr. James Tebbe for his services in the field of education. The groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Campus Center. Once completed, the Center will provide dedicated student services, such as a digital library, auditoriums, dining facilities and office space for student service offices. The PharmD Program was launched. Griswold Hall, an on campus hostel for Intermediate students, was commissioned after renovations. The Sir Anwer Pervaiz Block, an extension of the Business and Social Sciences Building was inaugurated. This block was designed to accommodate the growing number of students and houses auditoriums, smart classrooms, and faculty offices. Mercy Health Center was inaugurated. This is a facility that provides first-aid and basic healthcare to students, staff and faculty. The building also houses the Campus Counseling Center which provides counseling services to the FCCU community. The University celebrated its 150th Year Anniversary. A groundbreaking ceremony was held for a new 4-acre car park. Dr. Peter H. Armacost became the first Rector of the University. Sinclair Hall was inaugurated as the first auditorium on campus. The Lucas Center was inaugurated to serve as a sports center for students. Quaid-e-Azam, Mohammad Ali Jinnah visited the College. The Ewing Memorial Library was inaugurated. The College was shifted to the new campus. Ewing Hall was inaugurated. A groundbreaking ceremony was held for a 366-room, USAID-funded women’s hostel on campus. The College was granted University status. It was now called Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) and started offering the 4-year Baccalaureate (Hons) degrees the same year.
